The HP Innovation Hub in Barcelona  is HP Inc.’s largest research and development (R&D) site outside the United States. It serves as a global center for excellence in 3D printing, digital manufacturing, and large-format printing technologies.

  • Location: The facility is based in Sant Cugat del Vallès (Barcelona), covering over 150,000 square feet (14,000 m²).
  • Focus Areas: It is the global headquarters for HP’s Large Format Printing and 3D Printing businesses, and the EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa) headquarters for Graphic Arts.
  • AI Innovation Hub: In 2025, HP launched a new AI Innovation Hub within this campus to develop AI solutions for 3D part creation, construction automation, and printing workflows, staffed by over 200 professionals.
  • Impact & Talent: The hub employs over 2,600 people of more than 60 nationalities, with a team of 800+ R&D engineers producing more than 150 patents annually.
  • 3D Printing Center of Excellence: Opened in 2019, this facility is one of the world’s largest and most advanced R&D labs for industrial 3D printing.
